Earrings GB-38719 - Blue / Transparent

Important safety notice for earrings in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of earrings (stud, hoop, dangle, with screw, snap, or magnetic fastening). Due to small parts, sharp points, and contact with skin and fresh piercings, please follow the instructions below to avoid injuries and skin reactions.

Basic safety and handling principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Backings, stones, and magnets pose a choking hazard. The product is not a toy.
• Check before wearing: Inspect for sharp edges, loose stones, and secure fastening. Do not use damaged earrings.
• Secure fastening: Ensure backings and mechanisms are firmly attached to prevent loss or injury.
• Risk of snagging: Do not wear long and dangling models during sports, sleep, machine work, or activities where they could snag on clothing or objects.

Proper and safe use

• Piercing condition: Use earrings in healed piercings unless explicitly intended for fresh piercings. Discontinue use if pain, redness, or swelling occurs.
• Hygiene: Clean earrings before putting on and after removal; do not share with others.
• Magnetic fastening: Keep magnets away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with implanted devices should exercise caution.
• Contact with water and chemicals: Remove earrings when bathing, in saunas, and when using cosmetics; perfumes and cleaners may damage the surface.

Cleaning, maintenance, and storage

• Cleaning: Wipe with a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pastes and aggressive cleaners. Regularly degrease posts and backings with a mild agent.
• Maintenance: Regularly check the strength of joints and surface condition; tighten or replace loose parts.
• Storage: Store separately in a case to prevent scratching and loss of pairs; keep magnetic parts separate.

Specific health warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some metals and surface finishes may cause reactions. Remove earrings if redness, itching, or pain occurs and consult a doctor if necessary.
• Infections: Remove earrings if discharge, significant swelling, or hot skin around the piercing occurs and seek professional help.

Disposal

• Safe disposal: Wrap small metal and plastic parts to prevent risk to children and animals; sort components according to local regulations.

Incidents and contact

• In case of an incident (allergic reaction, infection, injury from snagging), stop using the product immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
