An axe is a sharp hand tool with a high risk of injury. Before first use, carefully read the enclosed instructions and follow the guidelines below:

• Use the axe solely for its intended purpose – chopping and splitting wood. Do not use it as a pry bar, hammer or on hard materials (metal, stone, concrete).
• Before each use, check that the head is firmly fitted on the handle and that the handle is undamaged; do not use an axe that is loose, cracked or otherwise damaged.
• Split wood on a stable wooden block in a firm and balanced stance; never work on a slippery, loose or unstable surface.
• Always cut away from your body, legs and limbs and keep a safe distance from bystanders (at least twice the length of the axe).
• Wear protective gloves, sturdy closed footwear and safety goggles; protect your feet and ankles from the blade slipping.
• Keep the blade sharp and clean – a blunt or dirty blade slips more easily. After each use, fit the protective cover onto the blade.
• Store the axe in a dry place out of the reach of children. The product is not a toy and is not intended for children or persons under 18 years of age.
• Do not work with the axe under the influence of alcohol or medication, when tired or with reduced attention.
