Important Safety Notice for Women's Necklaces in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the proper and safe use of women's necklaces (chains, pendants, pearl and bead necklaces, chokers, long and multi-layered models, including magnetic clasps). Due to small parts, cords/chains around the neck, sharp edges of pendants, and skin contact, please follow the instructions below to avoid injuries and skin reactions.

Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Necklaces are not toys; there is a risk of strangulation and swallowing small parts (locks, beads, magnets).
• Check before wearing: Check the strength of the clasp, loops, cord, and connections; do not use a damaged necklace.
• Risk of catching: Do not wear long and dangling models during sports, sleep, working with machines, or in situations with increased risk of catching on objects or clothing.
• Magnetic clasps: Keep strong magnets away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with pacemakers/ICDs must maintain a safe distance.

Proper and Safe Use

• Correct length and fit: Choose a length that does not press on the neck or restrict breathing or movement.
• Contact with water and chemicals: Remove the necklace before showering, swimming, sports, and applying cosmetics/perfumes; chemicals can damage the surface.
• Multiple layers: When layering chains, ensure freedom of movement and minimize tangling; avoid wearing with clothing that has catching fibers.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage

• Cleaning: Wipe with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasive pastes and aggressive cleaners. Clean gold-plated/PVD surfaces gently.
• Materials: Treat silver with a gentle polishing cloth; clean pearls and natural stones only with a slightly damp cloth without chemicals.
• Storage: Store separately in a case or anti-tarnish pouch to prevent scratching and tangling; protect from moisture and direct sunlight.

Specific Health Warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some metals (e.g., nickel), dyes, adhesives, and textile cords may cause reactions; if redness, itching, or swelling occurs, remove the necklace and consult a doctor if necessary.
• Skin irritation: After intense sweating, clean and dry the skin and jewelry to prevent irritation.

Disposal

• Safe removal: Hand over metal parts for metal recycling; sort plastic and textile components according to local regulations. Wrap small parts to prevent risk to children and animals.

Incidents and Contact

• In case of an incident (strangulation, allergic reaction, injury from catching), stop using the product immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
