Important Safety Notice for Men’s Necklaces in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the proper and safe use of men’s necklaces (chains, leather cords, beaded necklaces, pendants, magnetic clasps). Due to cords/chains around the neck, small parts, sharp edges of pendants, and skin contact, please follow the instructions below to avoid injuries and skin reactions.

Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Locks, beads, and magnets pose a swallowing hazard; the product is not a toy.
• Check before wearing: Inspect the strength of the lock, loops, cord, and joints; do not use a damaged necklace.
• Risk of entanglement: Do not wear long or heavy necklaces during sports, sleep, machine work, or situations with increased risk of catching on objects or clothing.
• Magnetic clasps: Keep strong magnets away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with pacemakers/ICDs must maintain a safe distance.

Proper and Safe Use

• Correct length and fit: Choose a length that does not press on the neck or restrict breathing or movement; pendants must not have sharp edges facing the skin.
• Contact with water and chemicals: Remove the necklace before showering, swimming, sports, and applying cosmetics/perfumes; salt water, chlorine, and sweat accelerate corrosion and wear.
• Pendants and layering: Secure larger pendants so they do not hit the chest when moving; minimize chain tangling when layering.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage

• Cleaning according to material: Wipe steel/titanium with a soft damp cloth and dry; polish silver with a soft cloth; clean leather cords dry and treat with appropriate products.
• Maintenance of joints: Regularly check loops, rings, and locks; tighten or replace loose parts. Rinse and dry after contact with sweat or salt.
• Storage: Store separately in a case or pouch, away from moisture and direct sunlight; keep magnetic parts away from sensitive items.

Specific Health Warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some metals (e.g., nickel), dyes, adhesives, and leather may cause reactions; if redness, itching, or swelling occurs, remove the necklace and consult a doctor if necessary.
