Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Keep out of reach of unsupervised young children: Long cords, ribbons, and stoppers pose a strangulation risk. For small children, choose hats without cords or with safety (easily releasable) fastenings.
• Small parts: Check the firmness of pom-poms, patches, decorations, and buttons. Loose parts may pose a choking hazard.
